Being a member of Collectiva Shamila marked the first time that I contributed to building a web platform and preparing content for it. It was a wonderful experience. One of my hobbies is actually creating content. In fact, I had been looking for opportunities to learn more about content production and through my experience with Collectiva Shamila I was able to learn different methods of creating and producing content. It was also exciting to participate in a podcast where I addressed issues relating to my home country Yemen.
Also, working to provide trainings in the future not only for those who have experience or the ability but also for the young dreamers out there who are looking to learn is a good idea. They can be considered as sources of information and learn methods of publishing for the platform which in turn would guarantee the sustainability of the platform.
In general, we are in need of trainings in order to become truly able to create professional content through which we can influence not only politics but also on the social and human levels. I believe we got to learn that in Collectiva Shamila.
Collectiva Shamila may face difficulties in getting accepted in some countries and societies in the Arab region due to the multiplicity of cultures included, difference in vocabulary used and level of open-mindedness of a particular country.
